'New Light', thats a Jehovah Witness expression!! It means some like "We are completely rewriting a tennet of the faith, however because we say 'we a directly appointed by God, and that he gives us his wisdom and tell us how to lead the flock' we will say God has shown us new light, which clarifies and alters an older stance, which was also given to us by God."
New Light - how to rephrase old lies. Sorry if the term New Light, has rather serious negative connitations to me.
